Leading Children With Autism To A Brighter Future

Garden Academy is a new, nonprofit school for children with autism, founded by parents in response to the critical shortage of appropriate services in our area. In just a few short years, we have grown from a dream to an accredited school in a real school building.

Garden Academy uses the only treatment approach for children with autism that has been proven effective in scientific studies -- Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). This approach has been recognized by U.S. Surgeon General, the National institutes of Health, the American Academy of Pediatricians and many others.

Every day at Garden Academy, children with autism are being taught the skills they need to participate in life. Every day, they are learning to ask for a drink of water when they are thirsty, tie their shoes, write their names, to read, to write and tell their parents “I love you.” And every day new professionals are receiving training and treatment techniques are being improved upon.

Harvard University School of Public Health has estimated the lifetime cost of caring for one individual with autism is $3.2 million.

Garden Academy is committed to reducing the human and financial cost of autism, not just for the students who go to school here, but for many many more, via our professional training efforts, research agenda, and awareness building initiatives.

Garden Academy is an incorporated, non-profit organization in the state of New Jersey with 501(c)(3) federal exempt status.
